Important change in the AM1 Submission procedure!!!
Due to problems in the use of the online system for AM1 applications, the FNR has decided to allow the submission of email and paper versions. Please find the application forms in English, French and German under “AM1-Promotion of Scientific Culture”.
Applicants preferring to submit their AM1-application via the online submission system are very welcome to do so.
Submission Deadline:
- Six weeks at the latest prior to the planned activity for activities funded up to 5.000 EUR
- Three months at the latest prior to the planned activity for activities funded with more than 5.000 EUR
The promotion of scientific culture is intended to stimulate the sensitivity of scientific issues among the Luxembourg population. Funded activities should raise the interest in science with the objective to create among citizens of all age, a profound understanding for the necessity of research as a guaranty for life quality and to fill youngsters with enthusiasm for scientific professions.
Funded are scientific and innovative activities, for example demonstrations in schools, scientific oral communications for a larger public, scientific competitions (quizzes etc.) for young people. For more examples, please download our AM1 leaflet ( in French / in German).
Eligible are public institutions or public bodies with a research mission, individuals (e.g. students, teachers) or non-profit organisations.
