Better Campus, Better City: Learning for a Sustainable Future
From Tuesday 27 July 2010 to Wednesday 28 July 2010
How can the development of cities and urban life be better connected to the sustainable development of University campuses?
The ISCN Symposium which will take place in the framework of the Expo 2010 in Shanghai (China) from 27th until 28th July 2010 will serve to explore the pivotal role University campus communities can play in fostering sustainable development of cities and in society at large. Campus communities can serve as role models and living laboratories developing technical and design solutions as well as best practices.
This Symposium, held in conjunction with the Expo 2010 in Shanghai, is jointly organised by the University of Luxembourg, Tongji University, and the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN).
The Luxembourg government and Tongji University are providing for the venues in the Luxembourg Expo Pavilion and the main Tongji Campus, respectively. The theme of the ISCN Symposium is intricately linked with the organising theme of the Expo ‘Better City, Better Life’.
