FP7 Week in Luxembourg

TAKING RESEARCH TO THE EUROPEAN LEVEL

The Seventh Framework Programme for research and technological development (FP7) is the European Union’s main instrument for collaborative research in Europe. The seven year programme with over € 50 billion to spend is now reaching its midterm. Nevertheless, with an increase of up to 40 % of available budget for the period 2011-2013, a considerable amount of money is still available for the co-financing of research, technological development and demonstration projects.

CALL TIME IS COMING UP – BENEFIT FROM THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR EUROPEAN RESEARCH

At the end of July 2010, the European Commission will publish new calls for proposals covering all key thematic areas of European Research. These calls are a major opportunity for obtaining funding for European collaborative R&D projects.

During the FP7 week, Luxinnovation – National Contact Point for the FP7 in Luxembourg – will organise every afternoon (start at 15:45) a different workshop covering specific thematic areas thus allowing you to :

• Get detailed information on the content of the upcoming calls ;
• Know more about the key elements of a successful proposal ;
• Learn about practical experience from companies already participating in European Research programmes ;
• Find out about the "Fit4Europe" support scheme and the Accompanying Measures by the FNR that help Luxembourg companies, research institutions and University to participate in FP7 and the assistance
  offered by Luxinnovation as National Contact Point ;
• Meet potential research & innovation or business partners.

Information & Registration

The FP7 Week will take place from 5th to 9th July 2010

at the Chambre de Commerce (7, rue Alcide de Gaspéri, Luxembourg-Kirchberg).

Registrastion is mandatory and can be done until 1st July 2010
