Summary
On the basis of a solid quantitative approach, this project helps to clarify the articulation of spatial practices and energy representations of the cross-border workers within the framework of the Greater Metropolitan Area of Luxembourg. The objective is to investigate this link, comparing cross-border workers in terms of their representations of energy, and to propose a set of propositions constituting the framework of an action programme in favour of sustainable territorial development.
In addition to the collective elaboration of the survey which underpins the project, each team will participate to the data analysis (i) on spatial practices (daily mobility, residential mobility), (ii) on performances and energy (iii) on constraints and opportunities in relation to the spatial mobility of the Luxembourg cross-border workers. The CEPS/INSTEAD will be primarily responsible for the construction of typologies and logistic regression analysis while the LIVE will test the model of relations obtained by the structural equations modelling (SEM) and will build a set of behavioural rules.
