European Heads of Research Councils (EUROHORCs)

EUROHORCs was set up in 1992 as an informal association of national research councils and comparable public non-university research organisations in Europe.

EUROHORCs is an independent forum and network bringing together the presidents or chairmen of such organisations in order to discuss subjects of common interest and in order to strengthen the influence of national and European Community research organisations on research policy in Europe and on the development of the European Research Area.

François Meyer, President of the Scientific Council, represents the FNR at the biannual meetings of EUROHORCs on international cooperation.
