International Cooperation: Horizon 2020 Day

Luxinnovation is organising an information day on 20 October for Horizon 2020, the European funding programme for research and innovation. The event intends to demonstrate how European programmes can be used to enhance the competitiveness and innovation of the Luxembourg economy.

The event is relevant to researchers at all career levels and staff, policy makers, members of the Luxembourg competitiveness clusters, SME owners and staff, EU project managers, and other interested parties.

About Horizon 2020

Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, funds collaborative projects in research and innovation. Research organisations, universities, and companies are all eligible to participate. Launched in 2014, Horizon 2020 has been funding around 6.000 projects each year. Since 2014, Luxembourg entities have benefitted from around 40 million euros of Horizon 2020 funding, participating in or running over 120 projects.

Luxinnovation, the National Agency for Innovation and Research, was established in 1984 and subsequently constituted as an Economic Interest Grouping (EIG) in 1998. It combines initiatives of:
