Job opportunity at FNR: Programme Support & Grant System Manager

To strengthen our teams within the Programme Support of the R&D Programmes Team and the IT Team, the FNR seeks to recruit a Programme Support & Grant System Manager, on a permanent (CDI), full-time basis. Deadline to apply is 20 January 2022.

Your function

You will integrate a team of Programme Support Managers who are tasked with the role of providing the administrative and technological support backbone for running these programmes. In particular, 

  • You will operate the handling and monitoring of grant applications and the communication with grantees and the research community, 
  • You will participate in the maintenance and administration of FNR’s Grant Management System; this includes designing workflows and online submission forms, 
  • You will provide technical support for both FNR’s stakeholders and employees. 

This position requires a high level of interaction within the team, as well as with external grantees and stakeholders. 

Your profile

  • You have a technology-related Degree or similar qualifications (BAC +2, BTS) 
  • You show commitment to supporting new technology implementation 
  • You possess knowledge of office 365 applications amongst other software systems 
  • You have experience in optimising operational and IT-related work processes 
  • You have some experience in IT project management 
  • You have patience and the ability to support training for users in both new and existing IT systems 
  • Programming knowledge (JavaScript, Python, MySQL) are considered an advantage 
  • Fluency in English is essential (add references if possible) 
  • Good spoken and written German or French (Luxembourgish is a plus) 
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team 
  • Sense of responsibility and initiative 
  • Interest in science.
