Launch of ATTRACT 2020 Call for proposals

The FNR is pleased to announce that the 2020 ATTRACT Call for proposals is now open. Deadline for pre-proposals is Friday, 15 November 2019, 14:00 CET – full proposal deadline is Thursday, 13 February 2020. Co-funding and gender parity is required for this Call.

The ATTRACT programme is designed for researchers not yet established in Luxembourg, who demonstrate the potential to become leaders in their field of research. The scheme offers promising junior researchers the opportunity to set up their own research team within one of the country’s research institutions.

Researchers are eligible between 2 and 8 years after their PhD, they must have an outstanding track record in their field which has to fit strategically to the research agenda of the Luxembourg host institution.

New starting with this Call

The FNR requires gender parity per institution in the Call 2020 applications.

From the ATTRACT Call 2020 onwards, the FNR implements a co-funding requirement.

A few additional changes:

At Pre-Proposal stage:

  • requirement for an institutional statement on fit of project/candidate

At Full Proposal stage:

  • requirement for commitment letters by non-contracting partners
  • requirement for a project plan (FNR Gantt Chart)
