Save the date: National OpenAIRE conference

The FNR is pleased to invite to Luxembourg’s first National OpenAIRE conference on Thursday, 26 October 2017, which will feature talks and discussions on all things Open Science.

Research is becoming progressively more open, transparent and accessible to society. Open Science is all about making publications free to access (Open Access), rendering data and code available to re-use and share (Open Data, Open Source) and changing towards more transparent and collaborative practices.

Belval Campus (more details to follow) & live stream

Participants will hear from Prof Lennart Martens (Ghent University, Belgium) about the benefits from Open Science, while Prof Conchita D’Ambrosio (FNR PEARL Chair, University of Luxembourg) will give you insights on its link with society and how we may be “Open in order tofight inequality“. The talks will be followed by an opportunity to discuss, debate and social network around a standing buffet.
