Submitted Abstract

The goal of this project is to perform top quality research in the currently most active areas of applied cryptography. In particular in the area related to the Internet of Things, which foresees a global network linking physical and virtual objects. It will offer new sensor, identification and connection capabilities as a basis for the new services and applications.The challenges in this area are related to resources, performance and new cryptographic services (ex. respect for privacy of the users). We plan to work on:-analysis of the requirements of the applications and services in terms of resources, performance and protocols-analysis of existing lightweight primitives and design of a new multi-purpose primitive-physical and implementation security of small cryptographic devices
