Submitted Abstract

Location-Bases Services (LBS) have become pervasive to provide added values to existing or emerging services. Indoor LBS can benefit of several technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or RFID but Wi-Fi is one of the most common and economically viable forms or wireless communication.One of the well-known and efficient usage of Wi-Fi for positioning a mobile into a indoor area is the fingerprinting technique. However it requires a long phase of initialization and is relatively depending on the model of embedded Wi-Fi chipsets.This project has two goals: (1) reduce significantly the time of the initialization phase (2) increase the accuracy of the positioning of the mobile. By reaching these goals it will be possible to propose an easy and fast set-up of a positioning system, especially for private areas, comparing to similar products available in the market.
