Submitted Abstract

This DTU research programme supports the development of applied socio-economic research to the issues of migration, labour markets and inequalities. The strategy of the program is to develop a consortium of PhD supervisors across three research institutions combining quality, consistency, critical mass and synergy in quantitative socio-economic research. It takes advantage of the proximity of the research agendas and expertise of 9 existing and 3 prospective members of UL departments and research institutions, namely, CREA, INSIDE and LISER.The DTU benefits from CREA’s excellence in economics and methodology, INSIDE’s expertise in quantitative socio-economic analysis of inequality and social problems, and LISER’s comparative advantage in public policy analysis. The DTU benefits from the synergetic support of the Doctoral School in Economics and Finance and the Doctoral School in Social Sciences at the University of Luxembourg, and the Sustainable Social Development and Graduate Studies Program at LISER.Domain: SH1 Markets, Individuals and Institutions
