Versuch macht klug SUD 2011 is a sustainable activity offered for first level classes (cycle 1) of the South Region of Luxemburg for children of the age of 4 – 6 years. The project has been developed and funded by the Foundation NORDMETALL in Germany and got expired by the positive experiences of the “MINI PHÄNOMENTA”. In 2005 the project was tested in three day care centers and evaluated by the University of Flensburg (Prof. Dr. Lutz Fiesser).Versuch macht klug SUD 2011 inspires the curiosity of children to search on their own drive on attractive experimental tools. The program consists of 20 experimental stations. 8 of the 20 stations have been rebuilding by PRO-SUD as prototype for demonstration purposes for the teachers of the nursery schools.The 8 stations are thematically divided into three areas: 1.effect of forces •Seesaw•Walkable Bridge2.water and air •Cartesian dancers or devil in the bottle•Balloon in the air stream•Pneumatic Syringes•Sucker (Gummisaugheber)3.electricity and magnetism•Magnets with various materials•Electricity tester (which materials conduct electricity?)The project will be implemented in 6 elementary schools (13 classes of cycle 1) of the South Region. In advance there will be an educational training by an expert. Versuch macht klug is a project of PRO-SUD in cooperation with the Science Club and the University of Luxembourg.
