FNR and Ministry of the Economy launch call for proposal for defining the business model of Luxembourg’s first bioincubator

The Ministry of the Economy and the FNR have launched a call for proposal, in the framework of the FNR’s KITS programme. The aim is to define a business model for the creation of Luxembourg’s first bioincubator aimed at hosting private startups, public research spin-offs and innovative companies exclusively from the HealthTech sector, while fostering their interaction and collaboration with biomedical public research.

Science Festival 2021: Call for Proposals!

Following the great success of past Science Festival events, the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN) and the FNR are pleased to announce the 13th edition of the leading event in promoting science in Luxembourg: The Science Festival will be held in the surroundings of Neimënster and the exhibition galleries of the National Museum of National History in Luxembourg-Grund from 11 to 14 November 2021. Proposals for science workshops are accepted until 1 March 2021.

International cooperation: Pre-announcement 2021 JPND Call

The EU Joint Programme – Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) will soon launch the joint trans-national call for multinational research projects on ‘Linking pre-diagnosis disturbances of physiological systems to Neurodegenerative Diseases’. This will be a two-step call, expected to be launched in early January 2021, with a likely pre-proposal submission deadline in early March 2021.

Results 2020-2 INTER Mobility Call

The FNR is pleased to announce that 1 of 3 eligible INTER Mobility projects have been selected for funding from the 2020-2 Call, an FNR commitment of 5,120 EUR.

Results RESCOM 2020-2 Call

The FNR is pleased to communicate that 7 of 9 projects have been selected for funding in the 2020-2 RESCOM Call, an FNR commitment of 230,823 EUR. Through RESCOM, the FNR supports communication between researchers to promote scientific outcomes.

Evolution of FNR funding policies in 2021

In 2021, there will be a number of changes coming to FNR funding policies, affecting most of our diverse selection of programmes. These changes represent a forward evolution for the FNR, as they align with international best practices meant to improve the quality of science and research on a systemic level.
