Overview

For the Research Programmes (CORE, INTER, INTER Mobility, ATTRACT, PEARL, JUMP, PRIDE) and for the scheme Support for Research Communication

  • Non-profit associations, societal impact companies (SIS), and foundations engaged in research*
  • PhD candidates

For Industrial Fellowships

  • Luxembourgish public institutions where research is a legal mission
  • Non-profit associations, societal impact companies (SIS), and foundations engaged in research*
  • PhD students and doctoral fellows
  • Public institutions abroad with a research mission
  • Companies engaged in research in Luxembourg**

For BRIDGES

  • Luxembourgish public institutions where research is a legal mission.
  • Non-profit associations, societal impact companies (SIS) and foundations engaged in research in Luxembourg and accredited by the Ministry of Research and Higher Education

For Science in Society activities, including PSP-Classic and PSP-Flagship

  • Public institutions performing research
  • Non-profit associations, societal impact companies (SIS), foundations, and institutions (including schools) engaged in scientific activities
  • Individuals pursuing activities of a scientific nature, including researchers, scientists, teachers and students (except PSP-Flagship)

For OPEN ACCESS FUND

  • Existing FNR beneficiaries (who received positive funding decisions after 1 January 2017)

*To be eligible for FNR support, non-profit associations, societal impact companies (SIS) and foundations must be accredited by the Ministry in charge of public sector research. To obtain an accreditation, associations or foundations have to introduce a formal request at the Ministry of Research and Higher Education (except PSP-Classic and PSP-Flagship).

** To be eligible for support in the framework of a public-private partnership under AFR (Industrial Fellowships), the condition is a collaboration with a company accredited by the Ministry of the Economy. Both, the public institution or the company, can be the host institution, i.e. issue the work contract.

For newly eligible institutions: Public institutions performing research in Luxembourg (who do not yet have an account) and non-profit associations and foundations performing research in Luxembourg, that have obtained a special authorization from the Ministry for Higher education and Research, can require access to the online submission system FNR Grant Management System by contacting registration@fnr.lu.
