Research funding shapes the research system. Data Stories shares what FNR learns from its funding data and selected open sources, in a clear, visual way.
About
FNR funds research with public money. This creates a responsibility to show what we fund, what changes over time, and where the system needs attention. Data Stories turns funding information into short, readable insights for researchers, policymakers, and the public.
We focus on practical questions such as: Who applies, who gets funded, how programmes evolve, what outputs and follow-on activities appear after funding, where capacity grows, where gaps persist.
What you will find here
- Short stories based on figures and trends
- Programme snapshots across time
- Simple explanations of what the data covers and what it does not cover
- Links to deeper data sources where available
