Media training

Not sure how to communicate your research simply and engagingly to the press?

The FNR offers two Media Training courses for researchers where they learn how to communicate with the media and how to effectively place their messages in a simple and understandable way for the lay audience. They are usually held across two sessions: One reserved for Principal Investigators (PIs) and one open for all researchers (including those preparing or having obtained their PhD).

Registration opportunities for both sessions are communicated via our website, FNR Info newsletter and the FNR’s digital and social media channels. The next training sessions will take place on 15 and 16 January 2026. Register for the training for all researchers.

Teacher training

Get ideas for (more) natural sciences experiments in the classroom

The FNR periodically offers hands-on training for primary school teachers (C2-C4) on how to integrate experiments in their natural sciences lessons.

Participants can try out experiments from a set of over 30 free lesson plans available in the section „Ideen für naturwissenschaftlichen Unterricht in der Grundschule“ on science.lu.

The training is IFEN-certified, so teachers get credits towards their continuing education. Registration is also via the IFEN website, but trainings will be announced via our website, FNR Info newsletter and the FNR’s digital and social media channels.
