The FNR has a collaboration agreement with the Research Council of Norway (RCN), to support bilateral projects between researchers based in Luxembourg and Norway, with the RCN serving as lead agency.
Collaborative proposals by researchers from Luxembourg and Norway can be submitted within the RCN’s FRIPRO call 2019 to the specific project types Young Research Talents and Researcher Projects.
The financing of the Luxembourg part of a joint proposal submitted to FRIPRO cannot exceed the funding of the Norwegian part of the project.
1. WHERE TO APPLY
Please note that all joint proposals have to be submitted to RCN, the lead agency. This must include both the RCN call documents and the FNR call documents (INTER).

In addition, partner coordinating institutions’ administrations (not the PI) must submit the joint proposal, along with the FNR INTER documents, to the FNR no later than 5 days after the lead agency deadline.

2. WHEN TO APPLY
RCN: The deadline for the submission of proposals to the RCN’s FRIPRO 2019 call for proposals deadline is Wednesday, 10 April 2019.
FNR: The RCN documents must be submitted to the FNR along with the INTER documents no later than 5 working days after the RCN deadline.
In its role as lead agency, the RCN will proceed with the evaluation and selection of these projects, in compliance with international standards, and propose a funding decision on behalf of both the RCN and the FNR.
