New podcast in collaboration with Lëtzebuerger Journal: Anne-Catherine Guio

The FNR is pleased to share the newest podcast in the collaboration with Lëtzebuerger Journal. Titled ‘Mäin Element’, the series features researchers in Luxembourg talking about their lives and their passion for science, showing a glimpse of the people behind the science. The eighth episode features child poverty researcher Anne-Catherine Guio.

In this episode, we meet Anne-Catherine Guio from the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER). Anne-Catherine is a leader in her field – child poverty in Europe and explains how she revolutionised the official statistics on this topic.

In addition, the researcher explains why she is never nervous before speaking in public or in the media. We also learn how creative she is in her work, juggling numbers and data.

About the ‘Mäin Element’ podcast series

So far, eight podcast are planned in the ‘Mäin Element‘ series, featuring four female and four male scientists from various scientific disciplines and institutions in Luxembourg. The language of the podcast varies depending on which researcher is guest.
