The Researchers’ Days will return for its 7th edition on Friday, 27 and Saturday, 28 November 2020 at the Rockhal in Esch/Belval. Proposals for workshops and Science Cafés are now being accepted. Update: Deadline postponed to Monday, 27 April 2020.
Don’t miss the chance to interact and motivate future generations of scientists and share the passion that got you into research by offering them a hands-on science workshop or a Science Café!
The event fosters the direct exchange between researchers and the public by offering researchers multiple ways to demonstrate their fields of science in a fun way.
On Friday, the event will be open exclusively to preregistered secondary school classes; on Saturday, it will be open to the general public.
Whether you are a researcher, engineer or science communicator, whether you are working in the public or private sector, in Luxembourg or as a Luxembourger abroad, we invite you to submit your proposals for a science workshop or a Science Café.
All scientific disciplines are invited to participate.
Call for proposals
The Researchers’ Days 2020 include two components:
- Interactive and hands-on science workshops
- ‘Meet the Scientist’ Cafés by science.lu: interactive discussions with visitors about different scientific matters
On Friday, 27 November, the event will be open exclusively to preregistered secondary school classes. On Saturday, 28 November, the Researchers’ Days will then be open to the general public.
Please note that associations usually organising scientific activities for younger children (< 12 years) may choose between two modes of participation:
- you may be present during the two days, if you feel comfortable to organise a workshop for secondary school pupils (12-19 years),
- or you may hold your activity only on the Saturday for the general public.
Detailed information may be found in the Call documents available on www.researchersdays.lu.
Please send us your proposals – using the online application form (English or French) on www.researchersdays.lu – by Monday, 27 April 2020, at the latest!
The success of previous editions was down to the quality of the activities put forward by the collaborating and contributing researchers and other participants in the field of science and research in Luxembourg. We hope that you will support us again with the same enthusiasm than in previous editions and that many of you will respond to our Call for Proposals!
